Stephen Harnish, M.D.
Dr. Harnish is a Board certified specialist who received his M.D. from the University of New Mexico, and his specialty training at the Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire. For the past 30 years he has practiced in his specialty field at facilities ranging from a state of the art Tulsa clinic and hospital to a 1,700 population county jail; from Assistant Superintendent of the 1,000 bed New Hampshire Hospital to Medical Director of a Christian based Tulsa specialty hospital. Dr. Harnish has been a professor at the Dartmouth Medical School and the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine.
Dr. Harnish along with his wife, Marsha, who is a Bible Institute and Bible Training Center graduate, have both sought Biblical truths of faith and healing to meet the challenges of their personal and professional lives. Together they have written a pamphlet called “FAITH: The Active Ingredient of God’s Medicine” available through Christian Family Institute.
Dr. Harnish is currently Medical Director of the Christian Family Institute in Tulsa and works with hospitalized children and adolescents at Shadow Mountain. He is an instructor with In His Image Family Practice Residency and he continues attending to the clinical needs of inmates.
