We are excited to announce the latest member of the growing CFI family! Read why she decided to become a therapist:
So Erin, what made you want to become a counselor?
“Life can be very complicated, and it can be unclear what steps to take next.
It is my goal to help you come up with strategies to tackle life’s uncertainties. As a high school student, I wished that there were more resources for me and my friends going through hard things, which lead to an interest in school and home-based counseling with adolescents and children.
Over the past 11 years I helped students and families work through anxieties, school problems, family conflict, depression, and relationship issues to find solutions to these challenges.
I also have a heart for women, and specifically those on the path towards motherhood or those wondering if motherhood is in their future. I personally struggled with infertility for 10 years, which lead my husband and I down the path towards adopting our daughter in 2015.
Infertility can be filled with cycles of grief, hope, longing, decisions, roadblocks and breakthroughs. The adoption process carries its own unique challenges and can be filled with similar ups and downs.
It’s important to have somewhere safe to process these experiences and feelings with someone who gets it. As a therapist, I have empathy for couples facing these challenges and decisions. Come see me if you are facing struggles with motherhood, school, anxiety, depression, dating, marriage, family issues, or making the next big decision.
I would love to help you process your experiences to find that clearer path towards peace, so you can walk boldly in the good life God has for you.”
